Physics/engineering at Brown?

Hmm I see
o.O

Nevertheless, I'll try ED because I there are so many reasons why I want to study there!

Thank you for the posts!

Actually, I think the new financial aid policies do apply to international applicants -- however, with the need aware situation, they have to be accepted first.

AemiliuS: Apply ED, but make sure you've got plenty of other schools, especially safety schools, to apply to if you don't get in.

Thank you, fireandrain!

The problem is that I want to go to Brown as my girlfriend is going there. If I am rejected from ED then, most probably, I'll stay one year off, learning to increase my SAT 1 (above 2100) and doing various physics researches. I hope to be accepted ED. ^^

Does Brown have a similar attitude to that of MIT for engineering/science majors? I love MIT's attitude towards science: opecourseware, learning for the fun of it, collaboration. A representative from Brown admissions came to my school and talked about the sciences; I'm not sure whether this reflects on him or Brown, but the program sounded far less than MIT-level amazing. Do Brown engineers have the sense of humor and vision that seems present at MIT? I was not able to really get a feel for this from the brown.edu website. Thanks.

Learning for the fun of it and collaboration are definitely two words I would use to describe our programs here.
