Physics for Engineering?

how important is it to take physics for engineering and to what level? thanks

in HS or in college?

In high school, you should take at least the first physics class, and ideally AP Physics C as well. AP Physics B will be useless for credit, but at least it exposes you to more advanced physics. In college, you typically have to take 3 physics classes for engineering: Mechanics, Electricity & Magnetism, and Modern Physics (which includes topics like waves, optics, quantum mechanics, fluids, thermodynamics, and nuclear physics).
