Physics FRQ - Units in calculation necessary?

<p>I know you need to show units in your final answer to free-response questions when you're calculating a value, but in your work do you have to add units the whole way?</p>

<p>For example, if you're calculating force with F=ma and m=5 kg and a=2 m/s^2, does your work have to be like:</p>

<p>F=ma
F=(5 kg)(2 m/s^2)
F=10 N</p>

<p>How many points off would you get if you forgot to add units in your work like:
F=ma
F=(5)(2)
F=10 N</p>

<p>I think the latter is good enough. I'm not sure though...Take a look at the grading rubrics on apcentral.</p>
