Physics I, Bio II, Calculus I plus 3 other humanities at the same time?

I will be taking Physics I, Bio II, and Calc I next semester. Plus Econ +2 humanities. Can someone tell me if this is crazy? I'm counting on Calc being easier than precalculus (or so I've been told!) Physics and Calc go together and Bio II... Well, that's just very time consuming.

Is this workload too heavy? I am by no means some sort of wiz-kid. At all. I'm actually not even a science major.

Six courses may be a heavy load if two of them have labs, or the two unspecified humanities courses have large term projects or something like that.

Also, are the physics and calculus the harder ones physics and engineering majors, or the easier ones for biology majors? At many schools, physics 1 is supposed to be taken after completing calculus 1.

What is your purpose for the course selection?

I’m not sure that the school will allow that many units. Assuming that Physics and Bio are lab classes, that’s 20 units (at a semester college). If the OP would like to maintain a decent GPA and have a life, I’d recommend against it. (I took two lab classes at one time that were 5 unit classes (2 lab periods each - so 12 hours of lab a week). It hurt my grades and was pretty tough.) Also, assuming 2 hours of outside work per hour of class time, that would be insane. Best of luck.

The thing is that I’m actually very interested in these subjects. (Bio not at all but I took Bio I and came out with an A and I figured I might as well finish it off.) Calculus is supposed to be easier than Precalc and Physics is a subject I love and would love to major in but I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to because I’m just not that great in math despite how much I might love it.

I think I could do it but I also have a lot of commitments, leadership positions, and a job. So I’m not quite certain.

Also, Calculus I is a co-req for Physics I. Though I’m certain it wouldn’t hurt having taken Calculus beforehand. I still don’t know what I should do and I need to decide rather quickly. It’s so nerve wrecking!
