In the IB program and currently taking SL Physics (which is the same class/course/curriculum as AP Physics B)

I'm required to take the SL IB exam at the end of the year...but should I take the AP exam on top of that?

pros: colleges that favor ap will take my credit, looks good, good if I'm majoring in Physics/engineering
cons: more studying, $82 to pay, already taking IB and SAT II exam :(

SL Physics, AP Physics B, and SAT 2 Physics are redundant. You really only need 1 out of the 3, so skip out on the AP. About credit…you might as well go and take a C test if you’re going to take an AP because you almost always get more credit/placement from the C test at a college.

Do a cost-benefit analysis. $$ is worth it if you get to skip classes. More studying? Nah. But definitely does not make you look better if you already have the other 2.
