I need one more subject test, and the logical one to take is Physics. I took Honors last year, and AP this year. However, some of the material on the test won't be covered in AP until later in the year. I've also been using Princeton Review, and I've been getting a lot wrong!

I was in the same situation as you. Topics on the SAT that weren’t covered in my honors class: electric/magnetic fields, electric currents and capacitance, optics, waves, heat, modern physics…quite a large chunk of the test.

Now while the Kaplan prep book is WAAAY easier than the real thing, it was a great resource for me. I read through the entire book at least three times to learn the topics they hadn’t taught in honors. Then I read the PR prep book, which went more in-depth and is much more challenging than Kaplan, and proved to be really valuable. Then again, I had three months to study.

PR is probably the best. It included formulas and concepts which Kaplan didn’t even cover. If you only have time to go through one, I’d do PR.

Physics B doesn’t require any calc. Also, there’s very little math at all on the subject test - no calculators are allowed and consequentially all of the calculations on the exam are simple. The test is mostly conceptual.

If i thoroughly read the barron’s physics and take the practise tests…will it be good enough for a score of above 700…I took the diagnostic test without reading anything and got a 600…have two weeks to go…how much time should i give every day…??
