If I know that I'm planning on going to go to medical school, is it worth pursuing the BS in Physics instead of just the BA? I'm planning on double majoring in Physics and Philosophy at Duke. Any sort of job opportunity benefits for the BS over BA?

If you're planning on going onto graduate school in physics, it would probably be a good idea to get a BS instead of a BA because you will be better prepared for it. However the double major's not going to be easy so you don't want to stretch yourself too thin either... the best idea would probably be to just see how you handle the workload once you get to college and if you would do better just getting a BA then do it. A lot of physicists have only BAs, and you'd never know by talking to them.
