Physics Major?

Hahaha potentially addressing title/gender is really a pain in the neck when you don’t really know the person well. :)

3+2 physics/ engineering program? Do you have a specific program that we can look at?
Physics engineering is probably the same thing as engineering Physics if I am guessing it right. I do have a good thread for engineering physics

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/engineering-majors/952525-engineering-physics.html?highlight=engineering+physics</a></p>

poly mean schools that are so well-known for their technical study, such as NYU-Poly, MIT, and such, and not necessarily schools like Columbia, CUNY (CCNY), and others (which have engineering schools, but their liberal arts are also good)?

People that I’ve talked to told me to stay away from “engineering physics” because you’re only getting a smattering of education from both fields, often not enough to be either an “engineer” or a “physicist”.

3+2 and Engineering Physics programs we are looking at

University of Pacific [Engineering Physics - University of the Pacific](http://www.pacific.edu/x10464.xml)

The “poly’s” are CSU 's at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (fantasy reach) and Pomona (match/safety)

“ADHD” , “hyper” , with SAT’s > GPA. The soccer really organizes and motivates him.

I have the impression “Engineering Physics” is best pursued at the >= MS level.

If you really are interested in Engineering Physics
University of Pacific Engineering Physics - University of the Pacific
Willamette CLA: Physics - Willamette University
These are good… just how I see the education quality and benefits…

But for Pacific - are students guarantee to receive Co-ops?

Thank you all for your help!
I think my plan right now is to take a variety of classes including calc I and see how it goes. Possibly taking a pass/fail and/or getting help from the math center.
I didn’t take the SAT IIs but I took the ACTs and my math scores were pretty disappointing which makes me nervous. I’m at least going to try though.

Personally, I love Physics… What kind of physics do you like ? do you like readings books on physics ? reading physics articles ?
Also, i’m curious… how come you’ve already been accepted into an LAC ? Even ED is far away…
