title is pretty self-explanatory. Any current physics majors?
I would like to have some input on this as well. Anyone?
I’ve never figured out how to post links, but if you search for “Current opinons on Math and Physics Departments?” within the Vassar forum you’ll see answer to that exact question from last year.
BTW D2 was accepted and is planning to attend Vassar but has deferred admission for a year and will be class of 2020. At this point most likely majors are physics or math with possible minors in linguistics, theater, gender studies, Jewish studies…Vassar is a great fit!
@Sudsie - Just for fun, I will tell you that they don’t have “minors” at Vassar. They call them “correlates.” See how fun that was?
^^
After all the college tours last year, I’m lucky if I remember basic details Yeah, that correlate thing rings a bell…Anyway, excited D2 will be attending!
@Sudsie - You should be excited. It’s an exciting time in a young person’s life, and Vassar is an amazing place. I bet your daughter will love it there.
I don’t know how helpful this is, considering I’m still in HS and have little experience w/ Vassar, but my physics teacher went there (majored in physics) and he LOVED it- basically everyone in the school knows he went there and it’s how most of us know about the school in the first place. He said there were a ton of undergrad opportunities in physics that people didn’t always know about and he highly recommended it.
