Hello :)

I was wondering what the physics, economics and math departments at Lafayette were like - I know that Lafayette is known for it's strength in engineering, but I haven't heard a lot about it's other programs.

Would you consider these respective departments strong/weak compared to
(a) other departments at Lafayette itself
(b) these departments at other colleges/universities.

I was also wondering about the music program at Lafayette - how good is training in voice here?

Thanks in advance!

The economics department is one of the largest on campus. My son is about to graduate with a BA in Economics, I think he’d say it’s a strong dept. He has a friend who is a combined Econ/Math major - a very marketable combination, and indeed she already has a job lined up. Don’t know about Physics, but Engineering is very strong and it requires kids to take physics, so…

I do not know if Lafayette offers any voice training. The music department is quite small. That can actually be a plus if you want to get involved in music groups, because there are almost no music majors to compete with for parts. Many music & theater programs are student run.
