So I got a 79 % on the test (75 or above is supposed to place into 7c) but my results page said i placed into 7A. Anyone else have a similar problem or know what this is about? In the end I just signed up for 7A because I am a physics major and that sequence is meant for physics majors.

i meant taking 7a first quarter. then you take physics 7b in the winter.

or else you take nothing in the fall and 7c in the winter.

either way, you’re in 7d in the spring.

if you really want to take 7c and skip 7a, go for it. its your choice.

Oh, so I can’t take 7C in the fall? I kinda wanted to skip ahead haha.

I took the c mech exam and got a 3
how hard is it compared to the ap exam
type of problems?

Even though I’ve never taken Physics in high school, do I still have to take this placement test to take Physics in the fall?

@katcheng38: Easy compared to AP Physics C Mech. The Physics exam only covers vectores, basic calculus, and kinematics (from what I’ve heard).

@sg3x20: You should take the exam just to be safe. However I believe that even if you do not take the exam you will be placed directly into Physics 2. I’m going to take the exam just to be safe, even though I’m pretty sure I’ll probably end up in Physics 2.

thanks xxsteelxx
