What prep book should I buy for physics? Also, is sparknotes worth using to practice while I wait for whichever book I order?

Please answer! I'm signed up for the June test so I need to start cramming asap.

Did you take AP physics or a similar course? If so, you may not even need a preparation book.

If not, PR or Barron’s have pretty decent books. I never used the specific physics review book, but it seems like PR and Barron’s are quite reputable.

No
I’ve only taken AP chemistry, so I was going to take that test, but the physics curve is so much nicer. I’m in an honors physics course. Some places say that the Barron’s practice tests are much different than the real thing, is it worth it to get both Barron’s and PR? Is 2 weeks even enough time to get through both, if I also have to review math 2?

You probably don’t need both Barron’s and PR; if you’re a fast learner you may only want to get one of them. Just don’t make the mistake I made: I had very little knowledge of E/M (b/c I took AP Physics C - mechanics, and didn’t prepare at all for the SAT physics test). Still got a 740, but probably could’ve gotten an 800 if I learned E/M.

At the very least, you may want to do a quick review of subjects you’re unfamiliar with. Or buy a review book.
