I think I posted this before but I didn't receive too much help...

I plant to major in Astrophysics/Astronomy so i really want to take SAT II Physics and send that to colleges instead of Chemistry (or is there no difference?). But next year (Senior) will be my first year taking Physics (AP Physics B). So I'm wondering, should I take a SAT Physics class over the summer and take the Subject Test in October? Or will the Subject Test not help me at all even though it's related to my major? Second, should I take AP Physics C outside of school next year, and take both the B and C tests?

I think that you are worrying about something that you do not need to worry about.

Only a handful of schools require the SATII and I do not think they specify the subjects.

If you want to major in some type of physics, you probably will want to take the first level of physics at the college/university you attend. The first AP class is algebra based, I think, and in college, it will be calculus based. My D took the first AP physics class in high school, got a 4 on the test, but opted to start in the first level of honors physics in college. Her high school physics teacher had also recommended that path.

Have you seen Sample Physics SAT II questions?
Taking both B and C is crazy. B is algebra based, C is calculus based. All you really need is a good review book for the test and you’ll do fine.

So all I need is a review book for SAT Physics even though I didn’t take the class yet?
