Physics SAT 2

Is it necessary to take AP Physics before taking the SAT 2 in Physics? Would an introductory Honors Physics class be sufficient to perforn well?

I've got the same question. Please give us some feedback.

Certainly not. AP Physics helps a great deal(AP prep was good enough for me to just walk-in, take the test, and walk out with an 800), but good preperation should do the trick quite nicely. Honors physics should be able to prepare a great deal, but some extra-practice is required for a 750+. Check out either a prep book, or the textbook "Conceptual Physics" by Hewitt. Read through that and learn the concepts. Just be sure all the topics covered by the test is covered by you. And as usual, take practice tests so you can evaluate your speed. The test isn't terribly difficult. Good luck.
