We should make a compilation. When are we allowed to talk about them?

Anyone take them today?

me.. but are we allowed to talk abt it yet?

in any case, i don't think i did too well so don't really want to discuss it!

Let Us Discuss It!!

what did u guys put for your answers? I omitted 5...

Anyway, we can start.
For the question that gave you 20 and then 2 grams (i think), then asked for the PE ? The answers were something like 0, 10, 20, 40..
Anyone put 10?

physics was crazy....i'm blanking on teh questions...

but anyone rmbr the plane and the asteroid one?

i do...

L=Lo(1-root under v2/c2) ?

i'm sure i did it wrong... i chose the slowest one!

I think it's actually L=L_0/...

So you have to divide. (length contraction, as opposed to time, which expands.) I believe I chose the fastest ship.

well the question was where would there be the greatest lenght measurement right?

well isn't true that LENGTH contracts as speed inreases....if it is then well shouldn't the lenght be the greatest on the asteroid itself.

i chose the fastest ship first.... then i again decided against it! i think it has to do with my wrong formula!! :(

Lenght contracts from the point of view of the asteroid. From the point of view of the ship people, it becomes larger.

Think about time, which acts oppositely. Time actually slows down, but only for the people on say Earth. For people on the spaceship, it goes much faster.

anyone know the answers for Galieo and the prism one??????plz?

any other ones...that were particularly hard. How bout that tree photo one...I just guessed on that one...randomly

galileo was expanding universe and the prism one I would say it was prism and diffraction grating....only

also how bout that fractal one....the body of an insect right?

ya i think it was insect

what about that wave and the medium thing??
Also, the light through the hole and making the area on screen larger?

which one...I'm blanking

The tree photo wasn't too hard.

You have to find the magnification. You know that si = .1 m and that s0 = 100m, so si/so = 1/1000. Then you multiply times the original object (height 25m.) to get 25/1000 = .025 m.

wave, medium, longitudinal wave, how it talks about there needs to be a seperate medium or somethin like that

Also, the diffraction and increasing the area on the screen???
