Physics SAT II required?

i read on one of the threads that the physics sat 2 was a requirement and that CMU doesnt recognize the chemistry sat 2. i checked on the website, and, as far as i can see, CMU does recognize the chem sat 2. am i correct or totally missing something?

here's the site: Academic Requirements

Are you really considering believing a forum thread over the official CMU website? Chemistry is clearly fine. I would add that AP credit in chemistry is nice if you're going into Chem-E and physics is very nice for other engineering majors. (Bio-med will obviously require bio)

EDIT: you need SATII subject tests for admissions. AP tests are only for AFTER you are admitted.

I used my SAT II Chem score ages ago for CMU. I can't imagine them requiring Physics since so many students take that senior year (if at all).

The official CMU website is correct as cmonyuk said. As you can see, the SAT subject test (SAT II) requirements vary depending on schools, but if you have one Math (level 1 or 2) and one science (Chemistry or Physics), you can satisfy SAT II requirements for any school for CMU (for that matter, most colleges (if not all) that require 2 SAT II's). Another words, you want to select 2 SAT II subject tests that satisfy SAT II requirements for most schools/colleges, they are (1) Math 1 or 2 and (2) Chemistry or Physics.

thanks guys
