Hi I took physics from 2 different colleges and I was wondering if this will affect my chances at getting into a UC or a CSU school..
Note that each class does suffice a class at the college I wish to transfer but I do not know if they prefer or it's a rule that I should take physics sequence only at one school..

I'm a chemical engineering student and wishes to go to berekeley ucla irvine Davis or for CSU long beach n pomona

Assuming you took the courses at two different community colleges, be sure to check [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) for articulation with UC and CSU schools’ physics courses.

In some cases, you may have to take an entire sequence to cover all of the topics because the topics are arrange differently in different colleges’ lower division physics sequences (especially if you are switching between semester and quarter systems). If this is the case, and the two community colleges are not in the same district (where they would have the same courses), you may want to make sure that all lower division physics topics you need are covered in the courses you take.

Thanks for the reply… I’ve been sweating this one out for a while now… Although I may be still 19 and I could easily take over the courses again I would be happier of they were all good… Although when I apply and the problem would be my physics classes then I shall take the one that didn’t cover…
And I would say they are in the same area el camino and Cerritos college are…

According to [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) , El Camino needs 4 physics courses (1A, 1B, 1C, 1D) to cover Berkeley lower division physics (7A, 7B, 7C), while Cerritos needs 3 physics courses (201, 202, 203).

Just make sure that you cover all of the topics of the needed lower division physics courses from whatever combination of physics courses you take.

Yes physics 1b is the class I need to take or I may have to take physics 201… Thanks for looking out…
I have already taken physics 1a at el camino and 202 n 203 at Cerritos…
Thanks again

It is the fluids and waves that you appear to be missing from Berkeley Physics 7A. Taking Cerritos Physics 201 would repeat the solid mechanics (in Berkeley Physics 7A and El Camino Physics 1A), while taking El Camino Physics 1B would repeat the thermodynamics (in Berkeley Physics 7B and Cerritos Physics 202).

El Camino Physics 1B is a 3 unit course instead of a 4 unit course that Cerritos Physics 201 is.
