^^^ AP packets. My calc teacher gave us a 17 page packet of problems he didn't teach us to today. HOWEVER we get all week in class to work on them because there are over 150 problems and we get to work in groups, but it counts for a test...on things we didn't learn.

^^gotta love crazy ap teachers

I have to agree that physics does totally suck. I hate it so much. I am in AP Physics C. On our last test, I got a 79 and it was the highest grade in the class. Our teacher is so boring. I have an 86 average currently and am hanging on for dear life until the end of the year. Don't take physics. Just don't if you can avoid it.

Welcome to college.

and you know what's almost as bad as physics but not quite as sucky? starting to read a spanish novel for ap spanish second semester of senior year when no one cares yet she gives quizzes on little picky details from the story. i didn't even do tonight's reading yet. grumble <---i don't know why i typed that, really. i guess i'm just tired.

yeah Squiggle that does suck and that's why I stopped after honors spanish 3 despite my teachers nagging to go on to honors 4 and ap 5. the ap class was gonna get to go to spain over spring break but the budget didnt allow for it...but yeah...spanish sucks majorly and that why more than 1/2 my classes next year are gonna me science classes because those are the only ones i REALLY excel at and understand.

I reviewed my original percpetion of physics....its used to suck, now its an ok subject for me......what cuased the change? I solved a problem no one else in my class could !!! yayyyy, total confidence boost hooray

I'm too tired to correct grammar/spelling/whatever mistakes...so ....yeah...

Get Princeton Review and Barrons. Actually... just get all of them. And work through every single problem. Physics isn't one of those subjects where you just read through the concepts and beast on the quiz(unless you are doing very easy stuff) ... you need to practice.

I am in total agreement, sagar. And the more practice with physics, the better you get, and the more interesting it is.

i see the better a the teacher is, the more ppl like physics

A lot of the time, it seems the easier a teacher is, the better the students say he is, and the more they like physics.

well if you guys hate physics, can it be you guys are having trouble with it?...if then so, why dont you ask for help in cc....im sure people are willing to help those are in need of help...after all this is what this forum is about...helping each other

can someone tell me if physics is going to get any easier? we've done kinematic equations and some work with force and we're starting the chapter on circular motion. someone told me it gets easier as you get used to it, but i could use some confirmation on that.

ROFLMAO... you are on the easiest part of physics. Soon you will be dealing with rotational dynamics, and then onto E&M, where you will be doing crazy integrals to calculate flux, determine potential difference, etc.

Trust me... its going to get ALOT HARDER. :)(TM)

Ahhh.... physics = hatred.

I DON'T GET IT.

that's reassuring, sagar.

Physics is definately the hardest science class and physics AP, which i ll probably take next year, is the hardest class in my school. I hear the class average in that class for tests is like around 40% and then the teacher curves it like crazy so people dont fail. However, the teacher is actually really good and he used to be some smart engineer something and hes smart as hell.

Well even though physics is hard, its actually my favorites science class and i dont kno y people say its pointless because it has a lot of real life applications and it actually gives calculus a purpose. For example phyics deals with everything from how airplanes fly to why boats float to even sports. ALso i think its kinda ironic tho that physics requires the most logic but its the hardest so does that mean we r not logical people? Chem and Bio require more memorization.

Jackson17 - my physics class finished circular motion bout a month ago and force and all that. For me i think physics is getting easier, even though the concepts may not be. I think this is because Im gettin used to the difficulty of test and studying in general. And from wat i infer, i doubt ur physics class will go into that calculus stuff, thats AP material. So to sum up my statement, physics can get easier, at least it has for me.

Finally tho, i like physics cause im doin well =)

Why do airplanes fly? Who cares? They fly.
Why do boats float? Who cares? They float.

That's the extent of my physics knowledge :)

i love that logic!! thats exactly how i would like to think about things like that.
