Physics vs. Computer Science/Other

I’m a rising sophomore and am trying to figure out a plan of study for the next three years. The options I am considering the most are a double major in Computer Science and Science, Technology, and Society (which is kind of like history and sociology of science) or Physics with a concentration in Business and Technology. As of now, my ultimate goal is a management position in a science-related field, and I would rather not be a scientist or a software engineer or anything like that. However, I enjoy the science way of thinking about problems and enjoy learning about science as a whole. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Or just the Science, Technology, and Society on its own, though I am somewhat skeptical about pursuing this type of major.

It sounds like CS isn’t the best option, but rather one of the sciences.

Of the two presented options, I would say the Physics with Business route sounds best.

Frankly, I think reversing it would make more sense. Business really is the end game here, but I fully get wanting to be properly educated in the sciences. It just makes sense. So, maybe a business major with minors in a few sciences, say Physics and Chemistry. I think that would be a more employable option for your work.

I see you’ve posted this on the Physics board, I would suggest relaying this idea to them for help as they will have more knowledge on how well that route would work.

That is a very good point, my one hesitation with going into a business major is that I would have to transfer to the business school which is a bit of a process and not guaranteed. I do like the idea of having the business with a couple of sciences as minors, so I am definitely going to look into that. Thank you!
