I’m looking for some input from current and recent former Cornell students concerning the key differences between the Physics and Engineering Physics undergraduate curriculum. As an alum who took a number of physics courses while getting my B.S. in electrical engineering, I’m curious about the things you don’t see listed on department web pages.
Things like quality of the teaching, size of the classes, opportunities for research, camaraderie within the department, collaborative vs. competitive nature.
While as an EE undergrad many moons ago, I took Physics 112, 217, 214, 341, 443, and 454. It was a while ago, but the course numbering scheme is similar but with an extra digit.
