Physics ?

Is it a necessary class if planning on going into pre-med?

we discussed this in my physics class the other day...the verdict was that even nurses have to take physics, so it may be safe to assume that you will have to take physics as well...not 100% positive, though...

No. It's useless not only for medicine, but for anything else in life. Save your sanity and take another bio or chem class instead.

So are most things you take in school. You probably won't get denied a promotion if you can't name all 216 bones in the body.

the only guy who desperately needs physics is the engineer according to the physics teacher at my school

well, i guess you can say it is necessary, especially since there is a physics section on the MCAT...

Man I despise physics.

It's very dry and boring in my opinion, but it's a little better than calc.

It was very painful to sit through that class. I agree, it is very, very boring. Also, you will never ever use that stuff unless you want to find the equation to combine quantum mechanics and the realitively theory. As far as pre-med, it probably won't help you but I was always under the impression pre-med people always took the core sciences the first 3 years of high school then like AP bio senior year.

Pre-med kids always take the core sciences because all of them (chem, bio, PHYSICS) are on the MCAT, which is of course required for med school.

Lol ok then there you go.
