Physics

When should I take a physics course in college? I know I should take MCAT once in summer before my junior year and once during second semester junior year. Should i take physics in sophomore year?

Don't take the MCAT until you've taken all the required courses.

Most common pre-med path that I have seen, obviously if you are a bio or chem or biochem or physics major, this is going to be altered:

Semester 1:
Gen Chem
Calc

Semester 2:
Gen Chem 2
Bio 1

Semester 3:
Ochem
(bio 2 a possibility)

Semester 4:
Ochem
(bio 2 a possibility or Genetics)

Semester 5:
Biochem 1
Physics 1
(Genetics?)

Semester 6:
Biochem 2
Physics 2
(Genetics)

You shouldn't plan on taking the MCAT more than once unless you absolutely need to. You probably won't want to take it more than once either. It really sucks.

If your physics course in high school was very strong and you plan on taking a prep course, you don't need to postpone the MCAT for it.
