I physics a good field for graduate study? I am starting undergrad next year and I want to go to grad school after. I havent heard about how competetive or saturated it is.

Appears bad. Graduate school is for people who probably would be doing the same thing even if they weren't paid. What careers in academic research lack in stability and salary, they make up for in fulfillment.

Enjoy undergrad and don't stress out about this at 17.

You are worrying about this way too soon, especially considering you may even switch majors. Which happens often. My recommendation is to start undergrad and feel out what intersts you. Study hard, drink some beers, and then later decide if it is what you really want.

And here I was thinking of switching from EE to physics.

Thanks. Euler you posted in my chances thread too lol.
