Hi there, I'm from Indonesia and I'm very interested in jazz studies undergraduate program at UNT. I realize there is an audition for the application. I have several questions:
1. Will live-audition give you an advantage over recorded audition?
2. For people who have faced/ familiar with the audition at UNT, how is the audition?
3. How does the audition for jazz studies piano actually worked? I do not fully understand the information given by UNT College of Music Jazz Studies Section. I realize there is an audition for the College of Music AND the Division of Jazz. Jazz songs and classical pieces are required and I get some of that. However, I really need clarification and explanation.
4. Can both of the CoM and DoJ auditions be at the same date, or at least near to each other? Because it is possible that I can go to US (especially Texas) for the live auditions, but I probably will be able to stay for a week at the longest.
5. I just want to clarify that is it true that I have to pass through all 3 application processes, which are UNT itself, College of Music, and Division of Jazz?
Sorry of my grammar is not perfect. English is not my first language, hehe.
Thanks!
