I choose this insturment..... I want to enter competitions and use it on my application, I also happen to enjoy it! Awesome music.

I took it for a few months about 7 years ago...I want to start again! :)

Heck yeah! Go piano!!

This is what I want to achieve on the piano-

Practicing....

Good luck with that :].

Piano's not that hard to learn. I taught myself and have been playing for ~4 years now. It's what I do to release stress.

My favorite is playing Christmas carols though :].

When I was seven I loved playing CHristmas carols, I stopped playing for a few years and now I am continuing. I wish I had stuck with it because then I would be really good now ;(. The problem is not many young kids actually want to play piano and are forced by their parents and then eventually quit and regret it later.

Yeah. The only way you can really learn an instrument is if YOU really want to.

^ so true. One of my good friends from elementary school (we go to hs now) started piano at around 4. She went through the first two books, and then lost interest, and was forced to practice by her parents. She was still on the fourth book by freshman year-while I, who started at 7, was doing the highest solo level in my state. WOOT people who actually like music and piano!

Piano is one of the easiest instruments ever...one of the very few I could learn :)

Guitar, on the other has, is killing me...

Piano is HARD! Viola is easier for me, but there's a really tough learning curve compared to, say, clarinet or trumpet.

Well proletariat2, remember it always depends on the person.

Yeah, my hands aren't coordinated at all with each other...which makes me wonder how I manage to play viola decently. I want to learn oboe. That would be cool, but it would take forever.

I'm teaching myself guitar. :) I know 6 chords so far, 3 minor and 3 major.

Singing is a lovely supplement to the guitar.

I taught myself to play scales and a few songs on the guitar, but I don't even know the string names yet.

I love how your constantly posting right this second!

Well, so are you...

XD proletariat...I know the first string (highest one) is E, and the 2nd one is B.

I think that from then on, it's a major third down, then a series of perfect fourths, which would make it EADGBE, but that's probably wrong.

Never mind, Wikipedia says that that's correct. Yay!
