I have no clue whats going on in that class. I need a tutor, at least for the next few days. I'll pay. If anyone is interested and has experience, PM me or post.

probably cheaper to just google a tutorial on whatever language you're learning, there will be thousands of them with at least a few that are top notch

you can be tutored for free by TBP candidates/members. tutoring hasn't officially started yet but will soon.

the office is at BH 6626 and it's free :P

coffeebreak, are you taking it with sheehan? I'm in the class..

no. Wittman.

btw, Update: I'm officially almost a week behind in the class( no pt in showing up anymore). I need a tutor that can sit down with me for a couple of hrs and get me to catch up. I'll pay well. This is not long term;I just need an emergency tutor

Why don't you go to your prof's or TA's office hours?

because I'm so far behind. They won't sit down and tutor me for that long of a stretch especially since there might be other students there as well.

That sounds like a damn good idea...

Anyone want to do the same with me and Chem 14C? :)

Go to Office Hours in the PIC lab. They'll walk you through the projects.

But seriously, the first week of PIC 10A is supposed to be fairly easy and guide you into the class. Just read chapter 2 of Big C++, download Visual Studio on your computer, and mess around a little bit. It's not hard when you get started -- I think you have some irrational opinion that programming is incredibly difficult.

By the way, how exactly did you get the bright idea that since you're behind, there's no point in showing up to class anymore? Do I even need to point out how backwards that statement is?

Well, if I don't understand the basic foundations, I can't understand the advanced stuff. If I don't know what cout means, how can I understand say lecture 6?

I'm planning to read it all, eventually. But I'm just not used to this school. I'm actually studying less than I did before I transfered here.( damn social obligations).

But still...

In the time it took you to write that post, you could've read the section in Big C++ where it explains what cout does. Or typed in "cout c++" on google. Or downloaded Visual Studio Basic and found out what it does by experimenting. Trust me, PIC 10A is not one of those courses that starts out difficult. Just put in a little bit of work to understand it, and you'll be fine.
