<p>Chemical engineering is nothing like chemistry. I did very well in chemistry, top of my class, given awards and what not. Chemical engineering kicked my butt flat out.</p>
<p>Sakky mentions how he still does not understand chemical engineering thermodynamics, to tell you the truth, I think nobody does (I don't, even though I did well in the class). </p>
<p>Chemical engineering is not for all types of people. If you want a challenge and have fun, take it. The opportunities afterwards are endless, medical/law/mba/engineering/etc. </p>
<p>I fell back on environmental engineering because it dealt more with chemistry and I loved it. I ended up at an environmental engineering firm.</p>
