<p>Reed and Business seem at odds. Students go to Reed to delve into subjects for learning’s sake. They spend a semester reading Greek and Roman classics, for instance.</p>
<p>Also, majoring in business = job after college (from the schools you selected) but that’s not a major that prepares for graduate school (as: PHD). It may prepare you for Business School and to some extent for law school. Even business schools, especially top ones, tend to prefer “traditional” majors for undergrad so that you start your business education with them. (This varies depending on how highly ranked the business school is and where the business degree is from.)</p>
<p>I don’t think Reed is a safety BTW especially since they look for fit and based on your answers above I’m not sure you’ve looked into it enough.
If you like the area and want a very selective school, look into Whitman.</p>
