Picking a major?

<p>So I'm going to be a freshman at a local community college this fall...and I have absolutely no idea what to major in. No idea what so ever, and it is really starting to bother me.</p>

<p>I love sports, and would love to be a journalist or be involved with sports some how, but I feel like being a journalist is very risky as I would think it is very competitive to work your way up the ranks.</p>

<p>I'm a joke when it comes to math, also.</p>

<p>Idk, how did some of you guys go about choosing your major? Or, what would be a smart major to pick?</p>

<p>My buddy is majoring in broadcast journalism and loves sports. If I were you I’d probably start taking some communications and writing classes. Start a blog or write for a website like Bleacher Report so that you can get something published or write for a newspaper. Do something like that a long those lines so that you have something concrete to give to a recruiter if you want to intern somewhere.</p>
