websoc is definitely accurate, since it’s provided by UCI. class times or rooms may change after you enroll in them, but in your studylist/webreg it will mark that a class time or room has changed (i don’t think it tells you which, but most of the time it’s just a room change)

as for figuring out your schedule in case a class is full, the best time is probably in between the spop date that yours begins and the previous one ends. http://www.dos.uci.edu/orientation/
you’re probably going to hate the NewOnly restriction post-freshman year, but now it’s definitely towards your advantage. i’m not sure but it might mean it’s open to transfers too, since there’s even upperdivision classes with that restriction
oh, but don’t be afraid to waitlist classes if you need to. especially over the summer it seems like people actually can get into waitlisted classes. i’ve had friends who waitlist and may have been 20th or so but still get in. buut, it depends on the class size and what not. i’m sure you can try to judge for yourself the likelihood of getting in. i’m not too good with telling you the chances since i haven’t had much waitlist experience (priority enrollment).
