picking good professors

hey do any of you know of some websites that show grade histories and ratings of professors? i want to choose wisely come fall...

I've heard mention of <a href="http://pickaprof.com/%5B/url%5D">http://pickaprof.com/</a> by people at UT.

edit: ...but CMU isn't on it.

I saw... somewhere that had a bunch of CMU professors on it. I can't remember what it was, but it's there, dammit!

cmu has its own system called FCEs. You will find out about it when you get there.

<a href="http://www.ratemyprofessors.com%5B/url%5D">www.ratemyprofessors.com</a> has some ratings for cmu
The FCE system doesn't seem all that helpful since it's all numbers and no personal comments or anything.

yeah, i checked out that rating site... it wasn't really too helpful because there would only be like 1 or 2 ratings per professor. i'll probably use the FCE system. thanks guys

just talk to people in your major. :) Try to meet some non-freshman during orientation to talk to for next semester as well, or stop by the newspaper (3rd floor of the UC building, 314) and ask them questions too-- i mention them cuz theyre nice people and they have to get to campus early. I'm sure you can also meet people around school and classes... What major are you anyway? I could probably find one of my friends for you to talk to to ask questions... or you could maybe try facebook?
