For AP Language -- I got a 5 and thought it was extremely easy. Didn't take a class for it, just saw the school offered the test and thought it would be fun. If you're good at English and rhetorical strategies, it's pretty simple. At least for me!

Also: there are tons of great sites to help study for AP tests. If you figure out your schedule, feel free to PM me and I'll give you some relevant links. :)

AP Lang varies alot in my school depending on the teacher..but it's definitely not the hardest AP class.

As for the exam, I heard there wasn't much to prepare for it except practice tests, which you can do easily by yourself so the class isn't THAT much of a help.

Sorry for going on about this :P
But lol my dad thinks 3 AP's is enough, 4 would be pushing it. He also knows APUSH is supposed to be hard my school, and is constantly trying to talk me into #2 to make my life easier. :p (My parents have no confidence in me even though I've taken AP before, and I get all A's)

Well take what's best for YOU
what YOU can handle
ALL my friends thought I was crazy taking 6 APs and I would regret it so much because I wouldn't get any free time and would be doing hw ALLL The time. I DO have to stay up later most nights but only because I still do all the stuff I did before (ECs, hanging out..etc) and I don't regret it one bit! It's really not as hard as everyone thinks

Of course I don't know about your school..
Are you a junior?
I took APUSH as a sophomore and it was really really hard..probably one of the hardest AP classes! So I can understand why you're worried about that. Talk to some senior friends or people who have taken the classes you want and ask about the class and the workload, the tests..etc.
And also consider how many AP classes everyone else is taking.
If a lot of people in your grade are taking 5 or 6..you can probably handle 4. If everyone is only taking 1 or 2..maybe 3 would be enough.

Ok I decided on 1 (the one with Bio), with maybe an extra one AP (AP E. Language) after I talk to my counselor about it. I spoke to a friend on FB she told me AP E. Language wasn't that bad, and she has a great teacher, but APUSH was hell where she got a C and had to drop it. The thing with AP English Language the teacher at my school is awesome, but I may be switching schools next year since they're building a new high school. I'm going to try to stay by special assignment. Btw I'm in 10h grade now At my school kids in 11th will take one AP, some 2, and only very few go 3+ AP's. Most kids don't do any at all. For example people were making a big deal when some girl in my class said she's taking (bragging, bragging over and over) 4 next year, and people were very surprised by that, and told her she can't handle that.

Well, the reason I say Bio then APES is because Biology has ecology in the course that accounts for at least 25% of the APES class.

Anyway, don't worry about it. Classes differ in difficulty from school to school. I decided to take 6 AP - on par with, to my knowledge, 3 other people. 1 of which seriously just cheated the system >_> and used easy APs. It's not as bad as people say it is.

Good choice with (1) and adding the AP E Lang!!

It sounds like you're taking one of the most rigorous courseloads at your school..especially if you're just a sophomore! (I only took 1 soph year--APUSH because that was the most common at my school...actually you were consided "smart" if took 1 AP class soph year haha)

Good luck with everything! I think you'll do just fine!

Dude, I'm taking AP Bio right now, it's a lot of reading so Bio + US His = ****loads of reading.(1)
Here's my re-edit as to what you should do:
AP Eng Lang
Spanish 3 Honors
APUSH
Pre Calc Honors
AP Psych
AP Envio Science
Physics Honors

Lol isn't AP Eng Lang a ton of reading? If I decided to not take AP Eng Lang what would you do? I'm doing 3 AP's at the LEAST. (I'm still not sure about AP Eng Lang, before coming here I wa planning to take it Seinor Year, but if I did take it I'd talke it with ES, if I didn't take it I'd take Bio)

Ah.. just to get back to this thread I ended up doing. (5) You guys convinced me :p The only way I would drop AP English is if I go to a new school next year. Part of the reason I'm doing it is because the most awesome Teacher in my school teaches it.
