Well...obviously this is not the most original post, but I am very confused.

So I have been accepted to colleges that I really would not mind going to, and I am now down to the final three: Bryn Mawr College (no $), University of Connecticut (business program + $$ + in-state), and Washington and Lee University (no $). I have also been waitlisted at Northwestern, which I really want to attend, so I would probably go there if I get off of the waitlist. Of course, that's a huge stretch...but it is nice to dream.

I will be visiting each school (except Northwestern) within the next few weeks, so that will definately help. Money is not an issue.

However, this is the real dilemna. I am a guaranteed transfer at my first choice school: Cornell University. With this is mind, should I just go to UConn and save money for a year and then transfer? But then...I also wonder if it is really worth it to transfer to Cornell. I mean, after all, once I visit the other schools, I might fall in love with them too. And the whole transfer process gets me a bit uneasy even though Cornell is my first choice. It is tough enough to start over at as a first-year college student...how tough will it be as a transfer student?

Hmm...I really liked Bryn Mawr when I visited it last October. It seemed to really appeal to me and the area is beautiful. I have not visited Washington and Lee but I really like the idea of the school and it seems similar to Bryn Mawr (minus the all-women's aspect and the location). The only thing that I am personally worried about is the lack of diversity at Washington and Lee (I am Asian American). I know nothing about UConn...and to be honest, the only appealing thing about it is the business program and the cheapness. Of course, all of this could change when I visit these schools!

Should I still hold on to the dream of Cornell...? How do I make sure that I go to a school that I will be happy at...yet still face the possibility of transferring? Any help from anyone?
