Picking Senior classes?!?/Career choice

In a few weeks we are going to finalize our classes for senior year and I’m preety torn.

For the past few years I’ve been really sure that I want to major in Political Science and eventually go somewhere in government. However upon doing some research I see that it might be a risky career path with job stability and outlook. So now I’m looking at a completely different major and field, Materials Engineering.

So I just want to know what’s the best path to go with and the best classes to go along with them.

This is what I was thinking
Political Science

  • AP Gov
  • AP Euro
  • AP Psych

Engineering

  • AP Physics C
  • PLTW Intro to engineering (is it to late to take this as a senior???)

Thanks for the help!

Don’t pick engineering if you are not one hundred percent interested in it because chances are you will change it if you don’t put all your effort into it. Have you taken AP Physics 1? If so then AP Physics C shouldn’t be too bad especially if you are also taking AP Calc.

Try to get an English course in there; most colleges require four years of this. Physics C is a great engineering course, so this is a good choice. Engineering requires a lot of math, so take calculus if you ahren not already. Very good, but remember that you need to take core classes regardless of your intended major.
