So I'm an electrical engineering major but I want to study a lot of other things in science, engineering, and business. Essentially, I'm trying to skip out of as many introductory classes as possible and use all 18 credits. I have my orientation in two days and I would like to solidify my plans before I go.

The generic first year course for an EE major is this:

GE I
Math 125
EE 150
EE 102
EE 105

I want to get rid of EE 102 (engineering freshmen academy) because it sounds like a waste of time--I know I want to major in EE. Instead of EE 102 I would like to bump up Physics by a year and take the full 18 credits. I also plan on starting in Math 226 (calc 3 vs calc 1) because I really think all that review would be a waste. I'm considering dumping EE 150 (engineering computer methods) and switching it for a Comp Sci class, too, because EE 150 just sounds like baby computer programming for non CS majors...

I already have a strong background in EE and CS but I'm worried about what the consequences might be of taking this big of a course load. Everyone who went to the first orientation session signed up for comparably light loads. Is this schedule overkill? Is college REALLY that different from high school? 6 AP classes were really easy for me, particularly the math and science courses. Plus I'm pretty sure I know just about everything I'll learn in my EE classes. Advice from an EE major would be much appreciated... I do have a social life :) Is this a good idea?
