<p>I am an incoming freshman, and I know that we will receive our info. about our courses once we arrive at Brown for orientation, but I was wondering if there was anyway to find out what books we might need so I can buy them in advance. If anyone has any info, I would really appreciate it.</p>
<p>When you go into the bookstore, it is divided into sections by department (eg biology, math, history). You go to the department, and then courses are in order of number. Find your course number, and all the books you need will be on the shelf. You may be able to call the bookstore and ask them what books are on reserve for a course, or perhaps you can email the instructor?</p>
