<p>Yes, it was very empty when I was there. However, they have a lot of rabbits roaming the campus. Just like UCLA has the squirrels, UCM will have the rabbits I guess.</p>

<p>It’s interesting because I think this thread is the reason why I decided researching on Merced some more. (I didn’t join these forums until today since I never really felt like I could contribute to any threads until now that all my college decisions are out) Yes it’s empty, but there’s a certain atmosphere I get that you can study really well, take morning jogs, and develop a close network of friends, which is harder to do at those huge universities where its so crowded.
Haha, if you’re still alive at this forum, thank you very much for changing my perspective on Merced. I think I might just go there this fall =)</p>
