I got an email titled 'Learn a language in ten days'. I usually delete these right away, but I just opened it up because I kind of want to learn French.
I read their website, but they basically say the same thing about each language. I looked at some other websites and this method does seem to be efficient in a way...does anyone know of this? If so, have you tried it? Is it worth spending 20 bucks? Thanks.

I had some introductory tapes for Pimsleur Spanish and thought they were pretty good for getting a student to speak. There's a lot of repetition where you use the same vocabulary in different ways. But using these tapes to progress to a high level is expensive because only the brief intro tapes are affordable. You could try looking for the Pimsleur tapes at the library. By contrast, the Teach Yourself series is compact and inexpensive.

Pimsleur is the best for Speaking/Listening (up to a certain point...three or four packs isn't good enough to get up to real advanced stuff). Bittorrent! :P

they have them in the library??? Thanks!
