<h2>We applied for a PIN number about 5 days ago & haven't received any email re: it. Would love to finish this darn FASFA & need the PIN. Curious if anyone else had the same experience.</h2>
<p>Edit--Just called FASFA help-line---apparently if you 'self-create' a PIN, they will not email you w/verification that it's been accepted (it will be checked w/the Social Security Admin in 1-3 biz days).</p>
