PIQ Brainstorming

Is it alright to ask about Personal Insight Questions here? I’ve already written three answers, but I’m having trouble thinking of a fourth aspect of myself to highlight. I’m really not that interesting!

Ideas I’ve had are to talk about my 1) time management, 2) researching resources for myself and others, and 3) the ability to form and maintain relationships with diverse age groups (aging parents and their friends, “mom” friends, and teenagers I’ve met through community college).

Do any of those sound better than the others? I’ve read and provided feedback on PIQs for other students. That’s easy. Writing about myself is hard!

It’s hard to say just based on the topic without the examples and context that would go into the response. Any topic could potentially work - it all depends on what you do with it and what you have to say about it. Without that information, it’s really hard to say what here would be the strongest.

Writing about yourself can be difficult. Any of your three topics can work, #3 could be especially intriguing and seems like it could be more ‘meaty’ than the other two.

Shoot. Thank you so much, but I filled out the worksheet guide and now think I need to throw out my answer to #6 (What have you done to make your school or your community a better place). So this was good, but now I’m down to two answers done instead of four

As for the three “talents” or “skills” in my post, the worksheet guide asks

Were these talents or skills the same a few years ago?
What changed?
What improved?
Which one of the three talents or skills you listed is
the most meaningful or important to you and why?
Does the talent come naturally or have you worked hard to develop this skill or talent?

These “talents” were not the same a few years ago. For time management and researching resources, the big change has been going back to school. For forming and maintaining relationships the big change was covid, but who wants to read about that?

Relationships are probably the most important to me. Again because covid made me value them more.

I’ve actually worked hard to develop time management and relationship skills. But researching resources comes naturally because how hard is it to type a google search phrase that produces results you’re looking for?
