Have you called to see if they have arrived? My daughters transcripts were sent electronically (I think) on the 5th and her mypitt. is showing that they are still missing. She also received a letter saying that her transcripts have not arrived. I’m not sure if there is a problem or if it just taking a while to process them.

Pitt sent my HS a card saying that my transcript had in fact been processed on the 2nd of October. I know that they will most likely combine the files (I’m assuming it’s just in another file) so that my application becomes complete, but the question is as to when. Hopefully, it will be before the end of the week so I can find out in two weeks whether I have been accepted or not.

Anyone else had this happen and can give me a rough timeline?

Hi All
I received an email to apply to the Guaranteed med program. It mentions congrats on my acceptance to Pitt and being a scholarship rec. but I haven’t received anything in the mail about a scholarship. Anyone get info on scholarships?

^Congratulations! My D just received her Pitt acceptance in the mail yesterday and there was no mention of scholarships. From what I’m gathering from related threads in this forum, it sounds like scholarship notifications may start going out within a week or two.

If you got an invite from the School of Medicine Guarantee I’m pretty sure that means you’ll get a scholarship. A 1450/1600 SAT or 33 ACT is the minimum for consideration to the program which also happens to be the rumored cutoff for getting significant merit money. So if they sent you that email, then you probably have at least the test scores.

If they mentioned something about a scholarship, then something should be forthcoming.

Daughter accepted to Honors College today. So what does that really mean for her. Are there perks ? The letter also stated that the application is going to be reviewed by the Scholarship Commmittee and would be notifed if she was eligible for an academic merit scholarship. What are the criteria for that ???

The only perk for the honors college is the honors housing. Stats for merit scholarship consideration is around 1450 SAT or 33 ACT. Pitt has never stated exactly what will get you a scholarship. Students with HIGHER stats have not gotten scholarships and students with LOWER stats have gotten scholarships – it just depends on what Pitt is looking for each year.
