w1cked: moms always think you should not give up on any opportunity...u never know

I must have sent it...back in December? And it came in the mail.

What were your test scores and stuff if you don't mind my asking.
Congrats by the way, thats awesome! When did you apply to pitt?

That was to creatorx (don't recall exact name)

yikes! i just checked through my emails and pitt's receipt of my chancellor's application was sent to me on Dec. 8... now it really has been 2 FULL MONTHS... with no word as to whether I will be interviewed or not... getting really worried... did you send yours in the beginning of December too?

Yeah, must've been like December 9th or so.

ridethecliche - Thanks for the congrats! I applied around the 15th of Jan (kinda late). The scores I posted were the only ones I sent Pitt, but for the sake of interest my other scores were as follows:

SAT I Math: 680
SAT I Verbal: 690
SAT I Writing: 680
SAT II Math I: 720
SAT II Math II: 690
SAT II Physics: 690
ACT: 33

My SATs were awful but my ACTs turned out much better. I guess the kicker might have been the software research essay I submitted as my personal essay. Im not really sure. There seems to be so many more people on this board that are more qualified than me. Congrats to everyone thats accepted and to those who receive a scholarship!

I'm starting to think my common app essay was a bad idea...

My Pitt essay was also my Common App essay (I opted for the "Your Choice" category).

Mmmm my common essay coincided with one of their choices.

I applied last week, what's the very soonest you think the letter could come? Two weeks?

Would it be permissible for me to call before then to ask if they've made a decision? I'm very eager.

And when they make the decision, does it get updated online?

Man I have to write two more #($#(%) essays!

^^Exactly how I felt when I saw the Chancellor's applicaiton. One of mine was damn good (the personal essay one), but the other one was god-awful, and probably why I didn't get an interview.

Aha I am 18 now I can legally drink!

Thought you had to be 21

Not in my family ^_^

So does it get updated online via "Check Application Status" or not?

I don't think so.

How silly.
