Pitt CBA vs Penn State DUS

I have visited both colleges, i like pitt but i LOVED penn state, the problem is that i got accepted into Pitts college of business, while i only got into penn state's undecided school. The logical decision would be to choose Pitt, because of already being in the CBA while at Penn state ill have to transfer in after a year, which isn't a huge negative its just starting off a little late. i am heavily leaning towards PSU despite the business setback. I was just wondering if starting in smeal a semester later than everyone else is a disadvantage.

You won’t be starting in Smeal a semester later than anyone else, you just won’t be assured to get in until you’ve completed a set of requirements with sufficient grades. Few students actually start right in Smeal, most start as DUS and prove themselves before they’re admitted to Smeal.
It really depends on your self confidence: do you think you’ll be able to get organized, work hard, and succeed? Or will it be taking a risk because you tend to lose yourself in parties and friends and all the rest of the amazing non-academic side of school?
If you don’t get into Smeal, do you have a Plan B? (At Pitt, if you find that you don’t like Business, how easy is it for you to switch to another major in another college?)
Will costs be similar?
