****PITT CLASS OF 2021 DECISIONS THREAD****

Congrats to all the new acceptances.

@rsmith0208, Our office does various conversions for internal purposes, but it does not put anyone at a disadvantage. We are a test friendly institution and use the highest score from whichever tests you send. Submitting only ACT scores is perfectly fine and we will use the highest ACT composite score in the review.

Yay!

Has anyone received information in the mail about the Honors College?

Is anyone’s psmobile working? Mine keeps saying login unsuccessful.

Okay this is a lil awkward but I’m gonna respond to my own message from earlier today…I did!!! Haha a few hours after posting that I got a letter saying I’ve been accepted to the Honors College! So happy

@ijustneedhelp The site is down until Monday I’m pretty sure!

@engineur Congrats on the honors college acceptance. What were your stats? Also, when were you admitted into the school itself?

@Kramer1 Thank you! I was admitted to Swanson for electrical engineering on 9/13! 3.9 UW GPA, 35 ACT, and my school does not rank.

My psmobile account is saying that the login is unsuccessful and when I go to check my application on my.pitt.edu it says I’m not authorized. What does that mean? @hailtopitt1787

@COof2017HH, I believe the site is down for the weekend. Generally, for questions about the PSMobile site and your account, you will need to contact our Help Desk: technology.pitt.edu. They are available 24/7 to assist.

I activated my admissions portal today and it says that my application is incomplete and that I did not submit a high school transcript, but I did fill out the SRAR and submitted it. Should I get my high school to send official transcripts? @hailtopitt1787

So it says Admitted on the psmobile site, and i have an option to accept/decline admission. But i haven’t gotten an email or letter or anything. Will i get one soon?

@jjohnross, It takes a few business days for the processors to update your application status in the portal. If you submitted a SRAR, it is will most likely go away on it’s own shortly. If you would like to call and double check, our staff would be happy to take a look at your account and make sure: 412-624-7488.

@nsc123, A communication should be coming your way shortly. Please wait to receive it for official confirmation of your admissions status.

Best of luck!

Hi! My application was marked complete on 9/30. I started my application in July, so I indicated that I would be sending my January SAT and September ACT. However, my June ACT turned out to be my highest score, and I sent it already. Do I still have to send my SAT and Sept ACT? Or do I have to call the office and let them know I’m not sending it? I also indicated that Ill be taking the Oct ACT so will they hold my decision until its over? Thanks!

My son received a letter stating he was not accepted or denied. They said they wanted to see his mid year grades And a new ACT.
He is in mostly AP classes and will get all A’s.
However, his ACT is not great and it actually went down a point on the last test.
He is an excellent student and is still taking all AP classes in his senior year but is not a good standardized test taker.

Is this going to ruin his chances at PITT?
Just worried about the impact from this one test. Very frustrated.

Would love feedback.

Has he considered trying the SAT? Some kids do much better with the SAT than the ACT and vice versa.

Accepted to Dietrich on October 3rd in the portal!
Applied August 4th but took the September 10th ACT. Still am waiting for the email confirmation but more than excited due to it being my first choice since I could remember!
