****PITT CLASS OF 2021 DECISIONS THREAD****

If I recently updated my srar with a summer DE grade and a schedule change do you think that pushed be to the end of the pile?

@carachel2 I’m an engineering applicant with “admitted” in my portal :slight_smile:

Has anyone got declined?

@engineur … Awesome! Congrats!

My son was admitted,
Arts and sciences
4.40 GPA
32 ACT
mostly honors and AP’s
13/385 class rank

Ok so on twitter someone asked PittAdmissions if this was real and they replied saying to wait for an official communication via email.

So my daughter has an Admitted status as well, and also sees the Accept or Decline buttons. @hailtopitt1787 , what does the accept button lead to?

Who wants to click Accept and see what happens?

ADMITTED (at least what the website says)

OLD SAT - 1850
GPA- 4.16
Rank- 4/165
15 AP and Honors classes (including senior year)
FBLA President and NHS Member
Varsity Soccer and Track, 4 years
Part time job since freshman year
Applied to Swanson School of Engineering

Has anyone pressed accept yet?

I hit yes on the accept/decline page and it just asks you to make a $300 tuition deposit, I declined and it went back to the accept/decline screen.

Now if only info on the financials page would pop up!

@ltownsam When did you apply?

July 25th

In the year my D applied (2014), the portal after applying only showed if you were missing anything in your application.

I am sure you will soon be officially informed of your acceptance.

‘Accept’ would lead you to pay your tuition deposit, for when you are ready to commit to Pitt, by May 1.

I would not mess with it further imo, in case you accidently ‘decline’.

Financial aid information will not be there until after FAFSA gets filed, which is after Oct 1, probably a few months after that.

You can look up current tuition, fees and room and board rates on Pitt’s website.

Tuition rates vary by school and also instate versus OOS.

Scholarship information probably won’t start coming out until November at the earliest.

Anyone who isn’t ridiculously smart get in?

@OhioKid123 about 24 people go to Pitt each year from my school and no one in my grade heard yet.

Hello all!

Please wait until you get an official communication from our office. It should come shortly.

Best,
A Pitt Admissions Staffer

Hello again @carachel2. Son that applied in engineering has “admitted” status now. Of course he is really just waiting for November for merit scholarship notification as OOS Pitt engineering is 3x the cost of Maryland in state. Good luck.

@Engineering713

Awesome! Congrats to your son!

Thanks so much for the information! We’ll be waiting for the official email, hopefully an acceptance invitation, and then wait anxiously for information on merit scholarships or even Chancellor’s Scholarship invite. “Knocking on wood!” My daughter is happy to drive right past OSU to attend Pitt for their Communications Science & Disorders program. Hopefully Pitt is generous with scholarships for OOS students this year.

Good luck to everyone! Don’t break the send/receive refresh button on your email page! :slight_smile:
