Hey I’m an upcoming senior next school year and I have some questions on the admission policy for Pitt main campus.
My school is very rigorous and I’ve took lots of Honors and AP courses (as well as next school year), and my GPA isn’t that high. So I’m wondering how Pitt takes GPA into consideration? Do they look at class rigor and then weigh my gpa?
R there any supplemental essays required in addition to the main essay posted on their website?
Hello!
We do take the rigor of your courses into account when looking at your GPA. We don’t have additional supplemental essays, but your responses to the Short Answer Questions can be an opportunity to round out your profile as an applicant.
If you have additional questions about the application process, you are welcome to contact us: oafa@pitt.edu.
Best,
A Pitt Admissions Staffer
