Some quick notes after checking affordability.pitt.edu.

There are about eight types of 4-year scholarships .

  1. CHANCELLOR’S SCHOLARSHIP

Approximately 10-12 enrolled in Pitt Honors will be awarded.
Full tuition and cover mandatory fees, average room and board plan with a one-time $500 book scholarship, guaranteed PittHonors housing.
Apply by November 1. Will be notified no later than mid-April.

  1. DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

A. The Cathedral of Learning Achievement Scholarship – $5,000, $10,000, and $15,000.
1340/28; Overall ‘A’ average, AP/IB/Honors courses; Top 10% class rank (if

applicable).
B. The Cathedral of Learning Prestige Scholarship – covers full tuition.

1440/31; Overall ‘A’ average; AP/IB/Honors courses; Top 5% class rank (if applicable)
C. Approximately 24 full academic scholarships- covering tuition, mandatory fees, and
room/board to incoming freshman from underrepresented groups. also include a
one-time $500 book award.
1520/34; Overall ‘A’ average; AP/IB/Honors courses; Top 3% class rank (if applicable).
Apply by December 15 , notified by April 1.

  1. Nordenberg Scholars Program

Up to 5 from PA will be awarded. Full tuition.
Apply by December 1 , notified by April 1.

  1. STAMPS SCHOLARSHIP

Five from PA will be awarded.
Valued in excess of $150,000 .Covering full tuition, mandatory fees, room and board with an allowance for books and supplies, transportation expenses, and personal costs. Access to an enrichment fund of up to $17,400 to be used over four years for the purpose of study abroad, unpaid internships, leadership training, research, and other academic experiences.
Apply by December 1 , notified by April 1.

  1. TUITION EXCHANGE

Limited number. up to $38,000.
1480/33 Overall ‘A’ average; Top 5% class rank (if applicable); AP/IB/Honors courses. Apply by December 15, notified by the end of February.

  1. UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

~25% of admitted freshman will be awarded for $2,000 to $25,000 per year.
1480/33. Overall ‘A’ average; Top 5% class rank (if applicable); AP/IB/Honors courses. Notified between late-November and March 1 regardless of date admitted.

  1. PITTFUND$ME

For enrolled Pitt students.

  1. International Freshman Scholarships

$2,000 per year.
Apply by February 1 , notified by April 1.
