Pitt or Penn State?

I have the opportunity to attend either one of these two schools and I am not sure which on to pick. I absolutely fell in love with Pitt when I took the tour. It felt like the perfect school, but I recently have gotten accepted into PSU. I have always wanted to attend PSU growing up as a child. I have never actually visited PSU (I am visiting in the next week or two), but I have several friends that go there and absolutely love it. I am going in as undecided in both schools because I am stuck between pre med and business. I understand PSU has the better business program, but Pitt is in the city of Pittsburgh (obviously) and has many job opportunities. Could anyone please tell me what you love and hate about both of these campuses please? I enjoy partying, but not heavily, also Pitt is a little closer to home and I would be able to drive back home from Pitt whenever I want. Please tell me and discuss what is enjoyable, fun, and special about both of these schools.
Thank you.

You can’t go wrong with either choice to be honest. See how you feel after visiting PSU.

Purely academic-wise, if heading pre-med, I’d choose Pitt. If heading business, I’d choose PSU. Either school can work with either major though. You’re probably best choosing based upon where you feel more “at home” after visiting both.

It would be a no-brainer for me to go to Pitt, where there’s a lot going on beyond the campus, but the PSU graduates I know are among the most zealous and loyal alums in the world. Pitt seems to offer the best of both worlds: urban environment, but with serious D-1 teams, but I agree that you should visit PSU before making a final decision.

The school environment (Pitt vs. wilds of PA) may very well be the differentiator.
