<p>What is better?! So far my top two choices for college are either University of Pittsburgh and Penn Sate Main. I just cant decide their both good schools! Any advice from experience or ear?! What are the pros and cons?</p>
<p>This may be a very uninformed and biased opinion (since I applied to Pitt, though just as a safety), but Penn State has a reputation for being a huge party school. Whether or not one is better than the other is a decision that only you can make.</p>
<p>Both are good schools and both are well-respected both in and out of Pennsylvania. I think it comes down to personal preferences. Pitt’s in a city while Penn State is in a medium-sized college town. PSU has one of the best undergrad engineering programs, but Pitt’s better for pre-med and similar sciences. PSU definitely has a huge party school rep, but that’s not to say that the same things don’t go on at Pitt. And the opposite is true too, there are plenty of work-oriented people at Penn State.</p>
