Pitt recommendation letters

When I applied for UPitt through Common App for their Guaranteed Medicine Admissions Program, I was allowed to name only my counselor as a recommender. Subsequently, I got an email from Pitt to upload recs (up to five) and resume on their site, if not done in Common App. Is it expected that I get copies of recs from other recommenders and upload on Pitt’s site? How do I even get the recs? Or, do I wait till I am selected for the next round of Guaranteed Medicine Admissions Program and then will Pitt give me an opportunity to ask for additional recs?

Hi, I would do what Pitt is asking because of the GAP program you are applying to. Is the email related to the GAP? I would send your recommendors an email address to send their letters to if so. Upload your resume. Perhaps reach out to your rep. and explain. Maybe your recommendors can send their lor to the rep.

Good luck. My older D18 is currently at Pitt and got the GAP PA program, and my D22 just got the GAP for Pitt Law.

Thank you for your response. The email does NOT seem to be related to GAP medicine program. It is a generic one. I submitted my application few days ago and there is no chance that I have already been moved to the next stage of GAP admission process. Also, where would the recommenders send their LORs?

Ok, @Leancoolguy , that is just a standard email, and if you want to sent the lors and resume, you can. But since you are applying to the medicine gap, I would send them both. Reach out to your admissions rep. Give the admissions rep email address to your recommenders to send. That’s what I would do. Good luck!
